Open Capital

Open Capital is a management consulting and financial advisory firm that supports businesses to grow and raise capital, supports global investors to invest in Africa, and supports the broader financial ecosystem by working with development partners like USAID, the World Bank among others to support businesses and investors.

Headquartered in Nairobi, and with offices in Uganda, Zambia and Nigeria, the firm’s focus is to drive growth, enable investment, and build markets across Africa. With more than 150 members of staff, Open Capital supports businesses across sub-Saharan Africa to create strategies, plan after growth, and build their own budgeting processes as well as financial models. The firm further offers intensive, operationally focused advisory services to clients to improve performance and enable growth. Additionally, the firm has experts in different sectors – agriculture, energy, healthcare and finance – besides working with global networks of over 500 investors who are keen on spending their capital in Africa.

In partnership with the Kenya Investment Mechanism, Open Capital focuses on investment readiness by enterprises and investor facilitation with the goal of raising capital for businesses. The firm’s role is to provide support in mobilizing investment for agriculture value chains and Prosper Africa clients across all sectors.
